Sunset Tides

Sunset Tides is part of my Blue Evening Stories collection and remains featured in the ongoing collection at Gallery Unbound, Northcote.

Inspired by the quiet meeting of sea and sky, Sunset Tides captures the luminous glow of evening light reflected across the water. Layers of deep ocean blues and soft golden tones create a sense of calm, stillness, and connection to nature.

Created using acrylic on canvas and guided with a spatula to direct the movement of colour, the work balances fluid abstraction with the atmosphere of a remembered landscape.

Sunset Tides was a finalist in the Whitehorse Art Show 2025 and was later selected for the Encore Exhibition at Gallery Unbound, reflecting the enduring resonance of this piece with viewers.

Designed to bring a sense of peace and contemplation into a space, Sunset Tides invites the viewer to pause, breathe, and linger in the beauty of the horizon.
